Terms of bottom up and top-down processing are the subject of studies related with teaching listening in second language learning. These terms has not been added to agenda of the field of teaching Turkish as a second language which is popular in the last period yet. In fact, the listening skill in teaching Turkish as a second language as teaching it as a first language has been rarely studied, and studies related this skill remained limited. For this reason, some terms such as bottom up and top-down processing have to be added to agenda of teaching Turkish as a second language, and they have to be subject to further debates.
