Abstract

In this study what words are used in which levels is determined in teaching Turkish as a foreign language. It is obvious the importance of words in reading, speaking, listening, writing and grammar teaching as basic language skills. Owing the importance of said we have already primarily in teaching Turkish as a foreign language textbooks and boks are shared educational material on the internet and there are so me reading books a few supportive. An important role is played for textbooks for teaching Turkish as a foreign language with the quality of basic resources that both show the structure of Turkish to reflect the vocabulary and the Turkish acquire four basic skills are tried to be made through these books. We selected twenty one boks from five different publisher and determine vocabulary of these books as well. Collected data are examined with the descriptive research model and 5500 words target that should be considered is determined reachingby Gazi TOMER and Gökkuşağı Turkish set. Doing vocabulary study is very helpful to learners who learn Turkish as a foreign language as the main language at the point of determining which words would be taught. Besides, vocabularystudies, thecreation of basic vocabulary, the language of the insight into the development process, in making healthier than the words of the text analysis and will contribute to the understanding of the culture change movement. In this way each level based on the frequency of Turkish words and words with prepared textbooks learned more systematic and easy to work with its vocabulary of a language that may contribute to the next.
