This situation, caused researchers develop new methods to teach foreign language in an effective way. Especially in 19th century, with the developments in linguistics and pedagogy, many foreign language teaching methods were developed. It is observed that some of the methods have lost their importance and replaced by the new methods. Callan in a method that was developed to teach a foreign language in a fast way. This methods was developed by Robin Callan in 1960 in order to teach English to foreign people in fast and effective way. The method prioritize listening and speaking skills and in fact aims four language skills to be developed. It was determined that there are not any studies on teaching Turkish with Callan method in literature.
