As they come into existence depending on the social interactions, values can also be seen as the identity of a nation. In social life, values are bridges between the past and today of an individual. Values are the factors that prevent individuals from self alienation in social life and supply them with a national identity. As values acquired are the factors that will determine the personality, point of view, attitudes or even life of an individual, individual is required to be aware of certain values, acquire the required values, adopt the new values, put all the values into practice by making them cornerstone of the personality. People acquire the values of society in which they were born and raised through education. Values education is given to individuals by integrating it to each grade of education as a whole. The aim here is to prevent children from self alienation. Individuals who are not self alienated overcome the obstacles in social life much more easily. When Yahya Kemal's poems are examined, it will be seen that they include a large number of values to make young generations acquire especially in the aspect of making them acquire national emotions and keep them alive. In this vein, Yahya Kemal's poems are analyzed in terms of values education in this study.},author={Mehmet YILMAZ},year={2017},journal={International Journal of Language Academy}}
