Print Everest Publications, Istanbul 2012) and Zülfü Livaneli’s 481-page novel called Serenad (1. Print Doğan Kitap, İstanbul 2011). While the data obtained from these novels are evaluated as whole, the observations related to some uses of Turkish that are not included in these novels are also shared. Salutation is an action that can take place in extreme contexts and even without words. However, with this kind of observations about salutations being shared, it has been tried to describe salutation patterns which can be marked more linguistically in Turkish language and thus gain grammatical visibility. These representations are not greetings and greetings in terms of their place in communication, sides in greeting, stages in saluting, markers of salutation (open marking, closed marking, non-verbal salutation), locality-nationality-universalism in salutation markers, dual function salutations, greeting in unfaced dialogues, accompanist behaviors, military greetings / military greetings, and in the context of word patterns in which there is a word of greetings in Turkish. The identification of the greeting markers is, in general, the study of pragmatics. However, since greetings are directly related to a society’s values system and cultural structure, the issue of how greetings are coded is also of interest to the fields of cultural history, sociolinguistics, language acquisition, and especially second language teaching.},author={Muna YÜCEOL ÖZEZEN},year={2017},journal={International Journal of Language Academy}}
