Such articles do not only introduce a region from various aspects solely at the time it was written; It is also important for transferring the knowledge of the time to upcoming future.Romania is a country that has been the source of different travel writings at various times due to its location. Evliya Çelebi's Seyahatname is a prominent piece. In his work, Çelebi uses the historical name of the region, Erdel, and tells the story of how Erdel passed through the Ottoman administration, the historical significance of this region, and who plays an important role in the conquest in its own style. In addition, Erdel's geographic features, vegetation, castles, individual names and features with a detailed description as well as the life in Erdel and its vicinity are pretty much interesting. There are also many other features from the population of the region to the religious and social life. Three hundred years after Evliya Çelebi, Islam Beytulah Erdi circulated in these regions, recounts modern Romania to us.Apart from these, İsmail Habib Sevük mentioned Romania's history and geographical features in his book Tuna’dan Batıya. In his work he mentioned about the history of Romania and its geographical characteristics. Particularly Bucharest and Ruse were focused, the language and the cultur of Turkishness, and the presence of Gagavuz are presented.İlber Ortaylı, who is also a multi-faceted cultural person, made his travel book İlber Ortaylı Seyahatnamesi and Bir Tarihçi’nin Gezi Notları. Ortaylı gave information about the history of the region and made some observations about the experience in today's Romania, especially Bucharest.Although following the steps of to Romania over centuries centuries, we could get different points of view from different authors. In this study, we will read Romania through these four works and evaluate the works in this context.
