The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the pre-service teachers' writing anxiety and creative writing performance. For this purpose, the research was conducted with a relational survey model. 227 prospective teachers from Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University participated in the study. The data were obtained by using two different tools. The data about the creative writing performance of the participants were obtained by evaluating the written expression papers by means of the creative writing evaluation scale. In order to obtain data related to writing anxiety, writing anxiety scale was used. At the end of the research it was determined that there was a moderate and negative significant relationship between pre-service teachers' writing anxiety and creative writing performance. The writing anxiety of men was higher than women but creative writing performance was lower than women and this difference was found to be significant. In the study, it was found that the writing anxiety of the students in the Turkish teaching department was lower than the other departments but the creative writing achievements were higher and this difference was found to be significant.
