Abstract

The importance of learning a new language is increasing day by day. There are a lot of reasons for this. These can be economical, for example, different countries shopping with each other. To learn a language makes necessary that going abroad for education, people’s desire to see different places or the forced migration event. Turkish language is learned these reasons. When the necessity to learn Turkish language increases, developments in this area have increased. This also affected the number and quality of the materials being used to teaching Turkish language. Textbooks are one of the main sources to teaching Turkish language so they are prepared importantly. It is prepared according to the levels. There are also workbooks together with textbooks. The workbooks are reinforced the topic for students. It assists students to learning language through listening, speaking, reading and writing activities. The rate of including the activities in the books was investigated. The language skills are a whole. One skill affects another skill. Therefore, development of an area increases perfection in the other area. For example students portraying plabook will have done both speaking and listening activities. Activities in books should improve language skills. In this investigation, the distribution of the activities according to language skills was examined in the İzmir Yabancılar İçin Türkçe Alıştırma Kitabı (A1). This investigation is a qualitative research. Document analysis was done in research.
