Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) issues many data regarding the damages of cigarette. As per data of World Health Assosication (WHO), it's forecasted that smoking will cause dead of 10 million people until end of 2020. The damages of cigarette are proved with the scientific data. A lot of campaigns are organized in order to let people quit smoking and assist them. Most of these campaigns are TV commericals or posters. These posters show the damages of cigarette on the bodies. To show the damages of the cigarette to the people and attract the attention of people on this matter, might convince the smokers to quit smoking. In order to let smokers quit smoking, there are too many posters and TV commericals with the theme of anti-cigarette. In these posters there is style of figure. Style of figure is used to influence people and to enrich expression since ancient times. Style of figure is four types such as; word figures, meaning figures, construction figures and thought figures. Each figure can be divided to sub divisions. These figures are used to transmit our messages easily, efficiently and fast. Beyond TV commercials, the campaign posters which are enriched with many figures show the cigarette and its damages.
