Abstract

The Divan of Bâkî, one of the greatest poets of classical Turkish literature, has been published four times. The number of poems in four prints is different. The reason for this is that there are too many transcripts of the poet’s divan and there are some different poems in these manuscripts. Various works have been done on the poems of Bâkî based on the magazines and the different copies of the divan, and new poems have been reached that are not found in the printed divans. There are about 180 copies of Bâkî’s Divan in the libraries located in the country and abroad. In this study, one of these voluminous copy of Bâkî’s Divan which has been copied by Ahmed Nûrî Baba (d. 1847) will be introduced. The 523 gazels in this manuscript are missing in Bâkî’s Divan, which was published by Küçük (1994). Only 7 of these 23 gazels are in the Ergun’s edition (1935). The number of gazels that appear to belong to Bâkî and not found in printed divans is 16. In the study, poems of Bâkî that were not found in the printed divans were examined and the texts of these poems were given. As a result of the work, it is understood that some of the poems which do not inserted in the printed divans but were registered under the name of Bâkî do not belong to him.
