Abstract

Addresses have an important place both in written literature and in the daily spoken language and they are used frequently. In our research, almost every word was expressed as an address. The fact that they are using so many forms of speech shows that how rich the narrative opportunities of Turkish language are. Addresses are also widely used in Georgian as well as Turkish. In researches, it was seen that the use of the addresses in pronouns, verbs and adjectives. In the present study, the references used in Turkish and Georgian are generally referring to the second singular and the second plural. The second singular and the second plural are used in Turkish. However, in the study; in both languages, it is stated that there is not a wide variety of address used in pronouns. The forms of address seen in verbs in Turkish and Georgian are meant to express the relationships of courtesy, respect and friendship, and the form of address is represented by using attachments. It is stated that it is used as an address in Turkish and Georgian. Adjectives used as an address are qualifying adjectives. In Turkish, it is generally seen that adjectives are used together with names and possessive pronouns. In Georgian, the adjectives show an evaluation within themselves and two types of evaluation are stated. In this study; as a form of addressing In Turkish and Georgian languages, it has been emphasized and evaluated what kind of appendices, verbs and adjectives are used and how they are used.
