Abstract

Taking into account the target audience during the translation process is one of the basic methods in determining and applying the translation method today. The background of this approach is based on descriptive and functional translation theories. Quality refers to good attributes of a product. And quality management is the field concerned with researching and developing methods and practices related to producing good products. As for empathy, it is a psychological act and means perceiving the external circumstances and emotions of other people and behaving them considering those circumstances and emotions. The field of translation deals with producing translations. When the products of today are taken into consideration, the success of the field of quality management in ensuring products of high quality can be understood clearly. Communication is one of the most significant requirements of refugees and migrants who live under difficult conditions and form an important sociological group of our age. And translation is important in meeting their communication needs. This study tries to put forward that methods and practices of translation and quality management fields and the act of empathy can contribute both to the migrants and refugees as the target audience or clients living under quite sensitive conditions and to the translation field for the purpose of meeting the communication needs of migrants and refugees.
