Abstract
Yayın hayatındaki yerini 1933’ten günümüze kadar koruyan Varlık dergisi Türk basın tarihinin en saygın edebiyat dergilerinden biridir. Varlık dergisi ve sonradan kurulan Varlık Yayınevi pek çok açıdan edebiyat dünyasına katkıda bulunmuştur. Bu katkıların önemlilerinden biri de “Yeni Hikâyeler Serisi” adıyla yayımlanan hikâye kitaplarıdır. Bu kitaplar hikâyecilere isimlerini duyurma imkânı sağlamış, hikâye dünyasının yeni imzaları tanımasına, zenginleşmesine yardımcı olmuştur. “Yeni Hikâyeler Serisi” 1948’den itibaren yayımlanmaya başlamış, sonuncu kitap da 1959’da okurla buluşturulmuştur.
“Yeni Hikâyeler Serisi’nde Suphi Kilimci’nin de iki hikâyesine yer verilmiştir. Döneminde gazete yazıları ve hikâyeleriyle adını duyuran bir sanatçı olmasına karşın bu güne kadar Suphi Kilimci üzerinde bir çalışma yapılmamıştır. Sanatçının hayatı hakkında da yeterli bilgi bulunmamaktadır.
Çalışmanın amacı hem 1948-1959 yılları arası Türk hikâyesinin temel eğilimlerini ve hikâyecilerini derli toplu şekilde ortaya koyan “Yeni Hikâyeler Serisi” hakkında bilgi vermek hem de Suphi Kilimci’nin hikâyelerini tanıtarak sanatçının edebiyat tarihinde hak ettiği yeri almasına katkıda bulunmaktır.
Çalışma, nitel araştırma yöntemi kapsamında değerlendirilen doküman analiziyle yapılandırılmıştır.

Abstract
Preserving its place in publishing life from 1933 to the present day, Varlık magazine is one of the most respected literary magazines in Turkish press history. Varlık magazine and Varlık Publishing, which was founded later, contributed to the world of literature in many ways. One of the most important of these contributions is the story books published under the name "Yeni Hikâyeler Serisi". These books provided the storytellers with the opportunity to announce their names, and helped the story world to recognize new signatures and enrich them. "Yeni Hikâyeler Serisi" started to be published since 1948, and the last book was brought to the readers in 1959.
Suphi Kilimci's two stories are also included in the "Yeni Hikâyeler Serisi" Although he was an artist who made a name for himself with newspaper articles and stories in his period, there has not been any work on Suphi Kilimci until today. There is not enough information about the artist's life.
The aim of the study is to provide information about the "Yeni Hikâyeler Serisi", which reveals the basic trends and storytellers of the Turkish story between 1948-1959, and to contribute to the artist's position in the history of literature by introducing Suphi Kilimci's stories.
The study was structured with the document analysis evaluated within the scope of qualitative research method
