This statement explains the important role and impact of our environ along with social, political and cultural circumstances. In art, themes are mostly based on human nature and life, as a consequence artistic work predominantly builds on what it means to be human and his circumstances. As a matter of fact literary works contain resembling perception and discourse without prejudice to individual features and artistry. As it is well established description of nature plays an important part in both Turkish and Azerbaijani classical poetry. Nature provided the poets with a powerful device to express their thoughts through metaphors or simply to inspire them. The treatment of nature and its elements constructing pastoral poetry starts with the time course of “modern literature” in both Turkish and Azerbaijani literature. The pioneers of pastoral poetry is Abdülhak Hâmid Tarhan and Romantic poets including Hüseyin Cavid in Turkish and Azerbaijani poetry respectively. However in Azerbaijan Mehemmed Hadi and Hüseyin Cavid are singled out for their nature inspired philosophical sentiments similar to Hâmid. Natural concepts such as death, destiny, divine justice are treated with representative perspective and serve as a refuge of inspiration in plenty of poems of both Hâmid and Cavid. This paper studies the similarities and differences of the poetry of Abdülhak Hâmid Tarhan and Hüseyn Cavid with special regard to their perceiving and understanding of nature in a cause and effect relation. },author={Ali EROL},year={2020},journal={International Journal of Language Academy}}
