The topics covered in the studies focus on the structures and meanings of prepositions at the beginning of sentences. Prepositions at the beginning of the sentence show variation in terms of their functions and meanings such as explanation, purpose, similarity, probability, request, affirmation, cause, result, and contradiction. In this view, the preposition / sentence preposition also comes up with the explanation functions of these features, especially for these sentences, either of the sentence itself or one of its elements, and it undertakes the task of connecting the sentences with this feature. In this study, some features of the prepositions `thus / who`, which are frequently seen in the Old Anatolian Turkish texts, which is the first period of Western Turkish, will be studied on in the abovementioned usage . The examples of the preposition at the beginning of a sentence discussed in the study such as “thus / who” are; Süheyl ü Nevbahar, Ahmed-i Dâi Divanı, Kıssa-ı Yusuf, Kitab-ı Gunya, Kenzü'l-Küberâ, and proses pertaining to 14th and 15th centuries and their functions in the sentences are clarified by stating explanatory meanings for the relationships between them, based on their usage in five literary works in verse. },author={Asu ERSOY},year={2020},journal={International Journal of Language Academy}}
