Abstract

Eski harfli çocuk dergilerinden biri olan Çocuklara Arkadaş; 1881-1882 yılında İstanbul’da Mehmed Şemseddin tarafından çıkarılmıştır. Dergi çocuklara özel olarak on beş günde bir resimli basılmış ve toplam on iki sayı yayımlanmıştır. Çocuklara Arkadaş kapak hariç resimlemeler kullanan ilk dergi olması sebebiyle önemlidir. Dergide yer alan metinler hikâye, fabl, fıkra, sohbet, mektup, makale ve özlü sözler türündedir. Dergide resimli hikâyeler, ahlâki ders veren yazılar, hayvanlar ve çeşitli eşyalar hakkında bilgiler, İstanbul’un semtleri ve tarihî yerleri ile ilgili yazılar, eğlendirici fıkralar, okuyuculardan gelen mektuplar bulunmaktadır. Bu metinlerin çocuk dergiciliğinin gelişmesi, çağdaş seviyeye ulaşmasında katkıları olmuştur. Bu sebeple Çocuklara Arkadaş dergisi çocuk dergiciliği ve edebiyatı için önemlidir. Derginin son sayısı 5 Ekim 1882’de yayımlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada içerik çözümlemeye dayalı betimsel bir yöntem kullanılmıştır.

Abstract

Çocuklara Arkadaş” one of the magazines with old letters was published in 1881-1882 by Mehmed Şemseddin in Istanbul.The magazine with illustrations was printed every fifteen days especially for children. Magazine published twelve numbers in total. “Çocuklara Arkadaş “ is important because it is the first magazine that uses illustrations except the cover. The texts in the journal are of story, fable, clause, chat, letter, article and concise words. The magazine includes stories about the story, the writings about the moral lectures, informations about animals and various goods, the writings about Istanbul's neighborhoods and historical places, entertaining jokes, letters from the readers. These texts have contributed to the development of children's magazines and to reach the contemporary level. For this reason, “Çocuklara Arkadaş” is important for children magazine and literature. The last issue of the journal was published on 5 October 1882. In this study, a descriptive method based on content analysis was used.
