DEĞERLER EĞİTİMİ BAĞLAMINDA REFİK HALİD KARAY’IN “GÖZYAŞI” VE “KÖPEK” BAŞLIKLI HİKÂYELERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract
Bu çalışmada; Refik Halid Karay’ın “Gözyaşı” ve “Köpek” başlıklı hikâyeleri, Türkçe, Sosyal Bilgiler, İlköğretim Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi Dersi Öğretim Programları’ndan, Değerler Eğitimi Yönergesi’nden ve İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğünün oluşturduğu Değer Kavram Listesi’nden hareketle belirlenen değerleri içerip içermemesine göre incelenmiştir. Değerler eğitimi sürecinde edebi eserlerin rolü büyüktür çünkü edebiyat ve eğitim arasında sıkı bir bağ bulunmaktadır. Edebiyat, insanın bilişsel dünyasının yanı sıra duyuşsal dünyasına çok daha fazla hitap etmektedir. Çalışmada edebiyatın duygusal zekâ gelişimine katkısından yola çıkılmıştır. Refik Halid Karay hikâyelerinin hangi değerler ile örülü olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu değerlerin eğitimde nasıl kullanılabileceği, değerlerin öğrencilere nasıl iletilebileceği, problem edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin duygu dünyalarında güçlü bir etki yaratabilme amacı, çalışmanın çıkış noktasıdır. Vaka çalışması modelinde, bütüncül tek vaka deseninde tasarlanan araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman inceleme tekniği kullanılmıştır (Yıldırım, Şimşek, 2016. Yin, 2011. Creswell, 2012). Çalışmada kullanılan Refik Halid Karay’ın Gurbet Hikâyeleri adlı eseri İnkılap Yayınevi’nden temin edilmiştir. Yayınevi, yazarın adını Refik Halid Karay şeklinde kullandığından yazarın adı Refik Halit Karay şeklinde yazılmamış ve aynı şekilde muhafaza edilmiştir. Eserde yer alan “Gözyaşı” ve “Köpek” başlıklı hikâyeler, ayrıntılı bir şekilde okunmuş ve hikâyelerin içerdikleri değerler fişleme yöntemiyle gruplandırılmıştır. Çalışmada; değer kavramının ne olduğu ve öneminin açıklanmasının ardından araştırmanın yöntemi hakkında bilgi verilmiş, tespit edilen değerlerin hangi cümlelerle iletildiği ortaya konulmuş ve ardından önerilere yer verilmiştir.

Abstract
In this study, Refik Halid Karay’s stories named “Tear” and “The Dog” have been examined whether they contain values which are designated according to curriculum of Turkish Language Education, Social Science, and Culture of Religion and Knowledge of Ethics, and Values Education Directive, and List of Value Concept formed by provincial directorate of national education. The technique of document review, which is a method of qualitative research designed in the pattern of the integrated mono case, has been used in the form of the case study. The role of literary works is significant in the process of values education because there is a tight bond between literature and education. Literature is more appealing to the human’s emotional world besides its cognitive world. In the study, it has been derived from the contribution of literature to the development of emotional intelligence. It has been determined with which values Refik Halid Karay’s stories knitted. It has been deemed as a problem of how these values are to be used in education, and how these values can be conveyed to students. The starting point of this study is the aim of creating a powerful effect on students’ emotional world. Refik Halid Karay’s book, Gurbet Hikâyeleri, which has been used in this study had obtained from Inkilap Publishing Firm. Because the Publishing Firm has used the name of the author as Refik Halid Karay, therefore, the name of the author was not written as Refik Halit Karay, and it has been preserved as the same. The stories which name “Tear”, and “The Dog” in the book have been read comprehensively, and values that the stories contain have been classified regarding the method of profiling. In this study, it has been explained what the term of value, and what its importance is before the information has been given about the method of the study, and it has been presented with which sentences values, which have been determined, have been conveyed. Lastly, in this study, suggestions have been included.
