Abstract
Üniversitelerdeki programların seçmeli yabancı dil derslerinde İngilizcenin yanında Almanca öne çıkmaktadır. Bu durum yabancı dil Almanca dersinin çeşitli açılardan araştırma konusu yapılmasını gerektirmektedir. Bu yönde yapılacak çalışmalarda veri toplanabilecek gruplardan birisi Almanca eğitiminin verildiği öğrencilerdir. Onların görüşlerinin araştırma konusu yapılması, verilen eğitimin etkililiğinin, bu eğitimin beklentileri karşılayıp karşılamadığının belirlenmesini ve mevcut sorunların ortaya çıkarılarak düzetilmesine yönelik önerilerin sunulmasını olanaklı kılabilmektedir. Covid-19 salgını ile birlikte uzaktan eğitime ağırlık verilmesi yabancı dil Almanca dersinin araştırma konusu yapılmasını daha da önemli hale getirmiştir. Çünkü bu süreç yabancı dil eğitimi ile ilgili yeni sorunların ortaya çıkmasına ve verilen eğitimin niteliğinin sorgulanmasına neden olmuştur. Bu çalışmada üniversite düzeyinde uzaktan eğitimle yürütülen yabancı dil Almanca dersleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Örneklem olarak İngilizce öğretmenliği 1. sınıf öğrencileri seçilmiş ve onların uzaktan eğitimle yürütülen Almanca dersleri konusundaki görüşleri ele alınmıştır. Açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan anketle toplanan veriler içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Çalışma sonucunda öğrencilerin uzaktan eğitimle yürütülen yabancı dil Almanca dersinden beklentilerinin dersin hedefleri ile örtüştüğü, olumlu görüşlerin dersin işlenişine ve uzaktan eğitime, olumsuz görüşlerin ve yaşadıkları sıkıntıların dersin işlenişine, uzaktan eğitime, öğrencilerin kendilerine ve hedef dile yönelik olduğu görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin karşılaştıkları sıkıntıları çözmek için yine bu yönde çözüm yollarına başvurdukları, çoğunlukla yüz yüze eğitimi tercih ettikleri, uzaktan eğitimle yürütülen ders ile yeterince başarılı olmadıklarını belirtikleri ve bu derse yönelik önerilerinin büyük oranda dersin işlenişine ilişkin olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Abstract
In the elective foreign language courses of the university programs, German stands out next to English. This situation indicates that the foreign language German course should be made a research subject from various perspectives. One of the groups that can be collected data in this direction is the students who are given German education. Making their opinions the research subject makes it possible to determine the effectiveness of the training, whether this training meets the expectations, and to present suggestions for the revelation and correction of existing problems. With the covid-19 pandemic process, the emphasis on distance education has made it even more important to make German as a foreign language a research topic. Because this process has led to the emergence of new problems related to foreign language education and to question the quality of the education given, this study focuses on the foreign language German course conducted by distance education at the university level. As a sample, first-year students of English teaching were selected, and their opinions on German courses conducted by distance education were discussed. The data collected by the questionnaire consisting of open-ended questions were subjected to content analysis. As a result of the study, it was seen that the expectations of the students from the foreign language German course carried out with distance education coincide with the objectives of the course, and the positive opinions were directed to the processing of the course and distance education, the negative opinions and the problems they experienced were directed to the processing of the course, distance education, the students themselves and the target language. Finally, it was determined that the students resorted to solutions in this direction to solve their problems; they mostly preferred face-to-face education.
