The way to identify the words that should be taught in the teaching of Turkish as a foreign language is to determine the vocabulary and frequency of words of the students. Individuals have two kinds of vocabulary, active and passive. The wealth of active words covers the words that individuals use when expressing themselves. The aim of the study is to determine the vocabulary in the written accounts of Turkmenistan students who learn Turkish as foreign languages. Document review is used as a method. For this purpose, the words written by 55 students in 3 separate C1 court-finishing examinations, where Turkmenistan students are heavily located, were transferred to the Microsoft Word Program in accordance with the specified criteria. The Online Word Counter Program was used to determine the frequency of words. The subjects of 3 separate exchange examinations were analyzed separately because the subjects were different. The data obtained were analyzed in terms of gender, age, department variables and presented as tables. The data obtained as a result of the study was compared with previous studies. It was observed that the gender factor coincided with the results of the current studies, and the age and department factors did not coincide with the results of the current studies.
