Social media is a mass communication tool that enables all kinds of social communication that people need to enter into our lives together with the developments in internet technologies, enabling the simultaneous interaction and fun. Social media users are thought to be composed of individuals who use these channels frequently and effectively. Users often use social media and internet to improve their verbal language skills. In this study, the effects of social media and language learning as a product of internet technologies are examined. In addition, in the process of language learning, it is tried to question in depth which communication experiences are experienced in social media. In this study, in-depth interview technique was applied from qualitative data collection methods and the findings obtained from the interviews were analyzed by conducting content analysis. It has been concluded that social media and internet has a direct impact on language learning and the use of social media for language learning purposes
