This paper as its title suggested comes as an attempt at studying interrogative patterns in Prophetic Hadieth in which two distinct areas of inquiry; namely, pragmatics and translation are conveniently brought into investigation. Pragmatically, it is aimed at 1) extracting the desired objective intents, purposeful aims and conclusive ends lie behind issuing interrogative constructions in prophetic Hadith 2) assigning the effects aroused out via responding to these interrogation. 3) manifesting an explanatory account for exercising interrogative construction. Translationally, the present study is also aimed at:1) comparing how the interrogative expressions are realized in English. 2) determining whether these contextualized interrogation are appropriately reflected in English and suggesting an appropriate rendering 3) postulating an appropriate strategic method for rendering indirect and implicit information. Problematically, such interrogative patterns pose difficulties for the translators if they are unaware of the basic pragmatic purpose and perlocutionary effect of questions under investigation. Judgments of questions exclusive ends and transferring effects of questions in the language of prophetic Hadith also constitute problematic issue; then, they require contextual awareness and shared cultural background knowledge. The main conclusions the study arrived at are that interrogation can be invested as persuasive method, the translations of interrogative expressions under investigation have reflected varied degrees of translatability in expressing the illocutionary force of questions under analysis, and the most accurate rendering is based on the compatibility between deep contextual meaning on one hand, and the illocutionary force and perlocutionary effects on other hand.
