Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, Arap Edebiyatı tarihinde benimsediği poetika ile bir dönüm noktasına zemin hazırladığını düşünülen Iraklı kadın şair Nâzik el-Melâike’nin poetik kimliğini, şiirinden örneklerle açıklamaktır. Şiirini oluşturan toplumsal ve siyasal olaylardan söz edilen araştırmada, şairin şiirlerinin kaynak dili ve araştırmacılar tarafından yapılan Türkçe çevirileri de yer almaktadır. Nâzik el-Melâike’nin poetik oluşumu, erken yaşta içinde yetiştiği entelektüel aile çevresi, aldığı çok yönlü sanat eğitimi ve klasik Arap edebiyatı ile Batı şiir geleneğini birlikte deneyimlemesi sonucunda şekillenmiştir. Şairin şiir anlayışı, dilsel kurallara dayalı disiplin ile romantik ve modernist yaklaşımlar arasında kurduğu uyumlu ilişki üzerine inşa edilmiştir. Şairin tiyatro ve müzik eğitimi şiirlerinde ritmik yapı, ses örgüsü ve dramatik söyleyişin güçlenmesine katkı sağlarken; Anglo-Amerikan eleştiri geleneğiyle kurduğu ilişki, şiiri teknik ve biçimsel bir yapı olarak değerlendirmesine zemin hazırlamıştır. Serbest nazım hareketi içindeki öncü rolü, yalnızca biçimde bir yenilik ortaya koymakla sınırlı kaymayıp, modern Arap şiirinde estetik dönüşümün kuramsal zeminini de inşa ettiğini göstermektedir. Şair, şiirin başarısını içerikten çok yapı, ritim ve estetik bütünlük üzerinden değerlendirerek modernleşme ile gelenek arasında dengeli bir poetik yaklaşım geliştirmiştir. Bu bağlamda el-Melâike’nin şiir anlayışı, bireysel deneyim, estetik disiplin ve tarihsel dönüşümün kesişiminde oluşan çok katmanlı bir poetika olarak belirginleşmektedir. Buna ek olarak el-Melâike, Arap şiirinin dönüşümünde öncü bir rol oynamıştır.

Abstract
This study aims to examine the poetic identity of the Iraqi poet Nazik Al-Malaika, who is regarded as having laid the groundwork for a turning point in the history of Arabic literature through the poetics she embraced, and to elucidate this poetic identity through selected examples from her poetry.. The study discusses the social and political events that shaped her poetic production and also presents both the source-language versions of her poems and their Turkish translations produced by researchers. Nazik Al-Malaika’s poetic formation was shaped by the intellectual family environment in which she was raised from an early age, the multifaceted artistic education she received, and her simultaneous engagement with both the classical Arabic literary tradition and Western poetic heritage. Her understanding of poetry was constructed upon a harmonious synthesis between discipline grounded in linguistic rules and romantic as well as modernist approaches. While her education in theatre and music contributed to the strengthening of rhythmic structure, sound patterns, and dramatic expression in her poetry, her engagement with the Anglo-American critical tradition provided the basis for her conception of poetry as a technical and formal construct. Her pioneering role in the free verse movement extended beyond the introduction of formal innovation and demonstrates that she also established the theoretical foundations of the aesthetic transformation of modern Arabic poetry. Evaluating poetic success primarily in terms of structure, rhythm, and aesthetic integrity rather than content, the poet developed a balanced poetics that mediated between modernity and tradition. In this context, Al-Malaika’s conception of poetry emerges as a multilayered poetics formed at the intersection of individual experience, aesthetic discipline, and historical transformation. Furthermore, Al-Malaika played a pioneering role in the transformation of Arabic poetry.
