Abstract
Cette étude porte sur le thème du symbolisme de l’oiseau du poète à travers le poème de La Nuit du mai tiré du recueil de poèmes Nuits du poète français Alfred de Musset. Il est l’un des plus importants poètes du XIXe siècle et un des pionniers du mouvement romantique dans la littérature française. L’importance de l’étude est de souligner le rôle du texte littéraire et poétique, comme un moyen de communication entre l’écrivain, le chercheur et le lecteur. L’analyse du texte ou du discours poétique est un voyage au plus profond de l’âme humaine avec ses diverses expériences et origines. Cela nous assure des avantages littéraires, linguistiques et psychologiques. L'objectif de cette étude, à travers une perspective littéraire analytique du discours poétique de Musset, est de rechercher les motifs, les significations derrière son choix du pélican comme symbole du poète. La recherche comprend deux parties: une partie théorique introductive sur le recueil de poèmes les Nuits, la Nuit de mai, Alfred de Musset et le pélican, et une autre partie analytique qui se concentre sur les similitudes entre Musset et le pélican.

Abstract
This study focuses on the theme of the bird's symbolism of the poet through a poem called Night in May from the collection of poems Nights of the French poet Alfred de Musset (1810-1857). He is one of the most important poets of the nineteenth century and one of the pioneers of the Romantic movement in French literature. The importance of the study is to emphasize the role of the literary and poetic text in as a canal of communication between writer, researcher and reader. The analysis of this poetic text is a journey, in the depths of the human soul. This journey ensures us literary, linguistic and psychological benefits. The objective of this study, through an analytical literary perspective of the poetic discourse of Musset, is to research the motives, meanings behind his choice of the pelican as a symbol of poet. The research consists of two parts: introductory theoretical section about the collection of poems Nights, a poem Night in May, Alfred de Musset and the pelican, and another analytical section that focuses in similarities between the Musset and the pelican.
