Abstract
Çocuk edebiyatı kapsamında değerlendirilen yapıtların çocukların kişilik gelişiminde önemli bir yere sahip olduğu bilinmektedir. Çocuklar için oluşturulan eserler, çocuğa görelik ilkesinden hareket eder. Çocukların duygu ve düşünce dünyasına göre kurgulanmış olmaları, onları diğer edebi eserlerden farklı kılar. Bu kurguda anlam evreni dil, anlatım ve görsellerin estetiği ile oluşur. Bu eserler, öğreticilik işlevini yerini getirdiği gibi estetik bilincin bireyde gelişmesine olanak sağlar. Buna göre çocuk edebiyatının temel amacı düşünen, araştıran, sorgulayan, estetik algıya sahip okuyucuların yetişmesine zemin hazırlamaktır. Çocukların kitaplardan edindikleri şeyler çocukların bilişsel, duyuşsal ve sosyal gelişimlerinde büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu nedenle onu seçkin, kaliteli, yaş seviyesine uygun kitaplarla buluşturmak gerekir. Bu düşünceden hareketle yapılan çalışmada “Yağmurla Gelen” adlı yapıtın çocuk edebiyatının genel ilkeleri bağlamında değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Doküman incelemesi yöntemi kullanılarak yürütülen bu nitel araştırmada öncelikle çocuk edebiyatı ilkelerine ilişkin kuramsal bir çerçeve oluşturulmuştur. Daha sonra, dış yapı (boyut, kâğıt, kapak, sayfa düzeni, harfler, resimleme) ve iç yapı (konu, izlek, ileti, karakter, dil ve anlatım, çevre, eğitsel ilkeler) bakımından incelenen kitap çocuk edebiyatı eleştirisi bağlamında değerlendirilmiştir. Betimsel analiz sonucunda ulaşılan bulgularla kitabın çocuğa uygunluğu ortaya konmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda kitap dış yapı özellikleri bakımından genel itibariyle çocuklar için yeterli bulunmuştur. İç yapı özellikleri bakımından ise “Yağmurla Gelen” gerek işlediği konu gerek dil ve anlatım gerekse eğitsel ilkeler bakımından çocuk edebiyatı ilkelerine uygun bulunmamıştır.

Abstract
It is known that the books or works that pertain to children’s literature, i.e., the literature explicitly aimed at children, have an important place in the personality development of children. These works for children are operated on and distributed based on relevance to the child. The fact that they are created for children's emotions, and thinking worlds make them different from other literary works. Here meaning is produced with a unique combination of language, expression and visuals. Thus, they not only fulfil the teaching function but also enable the development of aesthetic consciousness in the individual. Children's literature attempts to deal with raising children who think, research, question and have an aesthetic perception. In other words, what children acquire from books is crucial for their cognitive, affective and social development. For this reason, it is of great importance to introduce these outstanding, high-quality, age-appropriate books to children. With this in mind, this study has aimed to evaluate the work/book named ‘‘Yağmurla Gelen’’ regarding the general principles of children’s literature. The work/book has been assessed through the document analysis method under the titles of external structure (size, paper, cover, page layout, letters, illustration) and internal structure (subject, theme, message, character, language and expression, environment, educational principles) within the framework of the principles of children’s literature. The results reveal that the work/book is sufficient in general for children in terms of external structure features. However, this is not true for internal structure features. The work/book has not been suitable for children's literature principles regarding its subject, language and expression, and educational principles.
