The way that language units acquire the text can be comprehended by determining of their functions in the text. Personal pronouns in the possessive clusters are located in the text with various functions according to context. In addition to possessive suffix added to a name makes personal pronoun redundant which is used as a reference element in the same task. Nevertheless, personal pronouns that are in possessive phrases can be explained by their contribution to the context of the text. In this study, personal pronouns, which are considered as a reducible element in the possessive short clause, are not reducible and that there is no mention of the determinant ellipsis in the possessive clusters are aimed to be demonstrated.
